These are difficult times for everyone but we know that without you --our loyal
customers-- we never would have even has a business! We want to do something
to help - so we've printed the names of all our clients on strips of paper; put the
strips in a large bowl and every month, for as long as we can, we'll pull out one
group's name and we'll send that group a check for half their One Person Regular
Health premium
.
We'll video the drawing and put it on our website (click here to watch) on the last
day of the month. If you payroll deduct for the cost of the insurance, we hope
you'll use the money for the employee that needs it the most.
We know it's a small thing - but we hope it helps. The Winners so far are:
Antilla Logging, Roger Bazuin & Sons, Thiel Logging, Eye Talk Optical and
Layton's Corner.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS to our winners!!!

If you offer Prescription Drug coverage through your health plan, and, if you
have employees eligible for Medicare or have employees that will be eligible
within the next 12 months, you must notify the Center for Medicare Services
(CMS) that your drug coverage is credible. This is done annually and can be
done on-line prior to December 31st at:
https://www.cms.hhs.gov/CreditableCoverage/45_CCDisclosureForm.asp
An “Authorized Person” must complete the online form. CMS regulations
describe an “AUTHORIZED PERSON” AS AN EMPLOYEE OF YOUR
BUSINESS. TO ALLOW ANYONE ELSE TO COMPLETE THE FORM FOR
YOU MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CMS REGULATIONS.
Just as we did last year, if you have any questions while filling out the form, just
call us at 800-327-1950 and will be happy To “walk through it” with you online
THIS ONLY APPLIES IF YOU HAVE MEDICARE ELIGIBLE –OR WILL HAVE WITHIN 12 MONTHS-ENROLLED IN YOUR HEALTH PLAN

In television dramas, it seems that all health care is given in the emergency
room. In real life, emergency room treatment is usually not necessary.
But you don’t have to worry about being covered for true emergencies. In fact,
you’re covered for two different kinds of emergency care: medical emergency
care and emergency first aid.
Medical emergency care is treatment of a sudden, unexpected condition that
produces severe signs and symptoms such as acute pain. Examples are heart
attacks, strokes, loss of consciousness, severe breathing difficulty and
convulsions.
Emergency first aid is the examination is the examination and treatment of an
injury caused by an accident or trauma. Examples are broken bones, sprains,
allergic reactions, frostbite, poisoning and medication overdoses.
Other situations, such as a sore throat, chronic back pain or an upset
stomach, may seem urgent, but are not usually considered “emergencies.”
People with these conditions can get the treatment they need in an urgent
care clinic or their doctor’s office.
Is it really an emergency? Most of the time, the answer is “NO”

We hope that, regardless of your
position on Health Care Reform, you
want to continue to have an advocate
to work for you with insurance
companies.
The only advocate the insured have is
their Independent Agent. If we don't do
a good job for our clients they fire us
and appoint a different agent.
None of the proposed or discussed
bills included provisions of
Independent Agents that work for the
consumer - they all suggest that both
business owners and individuals will
become insurance experts and buy
coverage over the internet!
If you think having an Independent
Insurance Agent is a good thing please
let your elected officials know.
